Trip Overview

Tsum Valley Trek is a recently opened restricted area trek in Nepal through the beautiful landscapes, ethnic and historical villages and the tropical grasslands. The trek offers visitors the magnificent view of Himalayan ranges of Himchuli, Ganesh Himal, Buddha Himal, The 8th highest peak of the world; Manaslu and many other beautiful mountains. This is a trek to experience the unique culture and lifestyle, varieties of flora and fauna and a wide variety of vegetation of the Himalayan region. As this area is nearby of Tibet’s border so the lifestyle, culture and traditions of this area is same as of Tibet. There’s a famous belief that the supernatural Yeti can be found easily in this area and if you are lucky enough you can see one of them. A major attraction of this trek is the hot spring of Tatopani which has a belief that the bath at this hot spring is a cure to the sensitives joint aches of human body.

 

This incredible trek starts with a drive to Arughat Bazar from the capital city, Kathmandu. We will then start our trek and head to Budhi Gandaki river and then our trail will lead us to ancient and historic villages of Khorlabeshi. Feel free to talk and experience the culture, traditions and lifestyle of the people living here. We will then go through Barpak and Laprak via Single pass. We will then climb up to reach Mu Gumpa and from here we will reach Mu Humba which is the highest point of our trek. At the arrival of Tsum valley, you can see the villagers doing their daily works at their farms and fields. The trail of Tsum Valley Trek offers you an opportunity to explore the lifestyle and culture of people living in the Himalayan region of our country. Not only the culture and traditions will inspire you but you will also be amazed by the panoramic view of snowcapped mountains including Mt. Buddha, Himichuli, Ganesh Himal, Singri Himal, Manaslu, Ngadichuli and many other adventurous mountains.

Outline Itinerary

Day 01: Arrive Kathmandu & Transfer to Hotel (1,300m/4,264ft)
Day 02: Kathmandu: Sightseeing and Trek Preparation
Day 03: Drive Kathmandu to Arughat (600m/1,968ft) 7-8 hours drive
Day 04: Arughat to Soti Khola (700m/2,296ft): 5-6 hours
Day 05: Soti Khola to Maccha Khola (870m/2,952ft): 6-7 hours
Day 06: Maccha Khola to Jagat (2340m/7676ft): 6-7 hours
Day 07: Jagat to Chisopani (1660m/5,445ft): 4-5 hours
Day 08: Chisopani to Chumling (2,386m/7,827ft): 6 – 7 hours
Day 09: Chumling to Chokhangparo (3,010m/9,903ft): 4-5 hours
Day 10: Chokhangparo to Nile (3,361m/11,058ft): 5-6 hours
Day 11: Nile to Mu Gompa (3,700m/12,174ft): 3 hours
Day 12: Mu Gompa, sightseeing
Day 13: Mu Gompa to Burgi Village (3,245m/10644ft) via Milarepa cave: 5 hours
Day 14: Burgi village -Chumling (2,386/7,827ft): 5-6 hours
Day 15: Chumling to Philim (1,570m/5,103ft): 6-7 hours
Day 16: Philim to Khorlabesi(970m/3182ft: 6-7 hours
Day 17: Khorlabesi to Soti Khola (700m/2,296ft): 6-7 hours
Day 18: Soti Khola to Arughat to Kathmandu (1300m/1,968ft): Walk 4 hours and drive 7-8 hours
Day 19: Farewell Friends

Cost Include

  • Airport / Hotel / Airport pick up & drop by private car or van. It is depend of the group.
  • Two nights standard accommodation in 2/3/4/5 star category hotel in Kathmandu located tourist center, or up to you.
  • Meals on full board (Breakfast, lunch and dinner) during the trekking
  • Local fresh fruits like orange, apple, banana and grape etc.
  • All accommodations during the trek.
  • Your destination map.
  • Both ways domestic Flights with airport tax.
  • An experienced Government licensed holder Climbing guide and porter to carry your luggage during the trek.

  • Group medical supplies (first aid kit will be available).
  • If you need we will provide you sleeping bag, down jackets, Duffle bag and, if necessary etc.
  • All necessary Government paper works and national park entry permits and TIMS Card etc.
  • Travel & Rescue arrangement.
  • All government taxes and Vat.
